Forty-six 7th graders just left my house.
46.
We filled them with pizza and cookies and washed it all down with cokes….
…and then all 46 of them crammed into our family room for a game of charades.
Boys vs. Girls.
And for the next hour they acted like dinosaurs and Spiderman and pretended to cook and mop…
…as their team yelled answers at the top of their lungs.
So if you catch any misspelled words or these directions don’t make much sense…
…blame it on the charades. Or the yelling. Or the claustrophobia.
But this banner is so easy to make that I actually think I could’ve made it right in the midst of that chaos I just lived through.
And I guess we all know who won…
How to Make a Banner:
Supplies:
pack of pre made canvas banner
twine (mine came with my pre made banner)
gold paint
paintbrush
chipboard letters
hot glue
pencil
circle to trace onto banner
Trace the circle pattern onto the center of the banner.
Paint the circle gold and allow to dry.
Hot glue the chipboard letter in the middle of the circle.
Hot glue the twine onto the back of the banner spaced about 1/2″ apart.
The hardest part of the whole project was deciding which “autumn” word I wanted to use.
I just couldn’t resist “gather.”
I love that fall is a time to gather.
And gather we did tonight…all 46 of us!
{And of course, the girls won. }
Life to the full!
